Taxonomy
Flichea elongata was named by Ponomarenko (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 4034/1, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Layma (PIN collection 4034), which is in a Callovian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Tyumen Formation of the Russian Federation.
