Taxonomy
Paratrichopteridium obscurationis was named by Sukatsheva (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 1256/44, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Krasnoyarsk (PIN collection 1256), which is in a Toarcian fluvial horizon in the Makarova Formation of the Russian Federation.
