Taxonomy
Platyperla caudiculata was named by Sinitshenkova (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 3183/1(2), a nymph, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Nizhnyaya Ters' (PIN collection 3183), which is in a Toarcian terrestrial horizon in the Osinovo Formation of the Russian Federation.
