Taxonomy
Chenxianoproductus abrendanensis was named by Angiolini and Carabelli (2010). Its type specimen is MPUM 9961, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Abrendan section IR1036, Alborz mountains, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate marl in the Nesen Formation of Iran.
