Taxonomy
Derbyia sultanensis was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is K30.591, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North end of hill S of Misri Khan and W of Sultan Naru, Trans-Indus Range, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in Pakistan.
