Taxonomy
Strophalosia blanfordi was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 16884 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Footpath to Banschang, E of Chhidru, K34.847-868, Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine sandstone in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
