Taxonomy
Strophalosia tenuispina was named by Waagen (1884). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Amb, "Chonetes Bed", Salt Range, which is in a Wordian coastal sandstone in the Amb Formation of Pakistan.

It was recombined as Strophalosia (Heteralosia) tenuispina by Reed (1944).
