Taxonomy
Dielasma vicinale was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 16950, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Middle of hill near pt. 1185, bed r slope, K30.183-211, Salt Range, which is in a Wordian marine sandstone in the Amb Formation of Pakistan.
