Taxonomy
Dielasma ambiense was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 16953, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Baral nala, SW of Amb, K31.461-470, Salt Range, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Amb Formation of Pakistan.
