Taxonomy
Dielasma purdoni was named by Reed (1944). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chambalwala nala, Narsingphoar, marly beds, Salt Range, which is in a Capitanian carbonate marl in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
