Heterochilina was named by Poulsen (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: O Aren]. It is not extant. Its type is Heterochilina obliqua.

It was assigned to Leperditiidae by Benson et al. (1961); and to Leperditicopida by Sepkoski (2002).
