Taxonomy
Hemiptychina patula was named by Reed (1944). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Right bank Bakh ravine, top 40 feet, K31.482-531, ENE of Musa Khel, Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
