Taxonomy
Paradolichomyia eocenica was named by Nel and De Ploeg (2004). Its type specimen is PA 8334, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Oise amber, Le Quesnoy, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial amber in the Argiles d'lignite du Soissonnais Formation of France.
