Taxonomy
Palaeoneilo centralis was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 17175, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Just NW of Sathra, K28.625-642, Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian marine horizon in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
