Taxonomy
Schizodus emarginatus was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 17176, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SW of Kutte Mar, N of Jabbi, Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian marine horizon in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
