Taxonomy
Pseudomonotis (Prospondylus) waageni was named by Reed (1931). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pietra di Salomone, calcare grossolano, Sosio, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Italy.

It was recombined as Pseudomonotis (Aviculomonotis) waageni by Reed (1944).
