Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria orientalis was named by Roemer (1880). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Padang Highlands, which is in a Roadian/Wordian carbonate limestone in the Silungkang Formation of Indonesia.
It was recombined as Pleurotomaria (Worthenia) orientalis by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Glabrocingulum (Stenozone) orientalis by Batten (1972); it was recombined as Stenozone orientalis by Wagner (2023).
