Taxonomy
Ianthinopsis oviformis was named by Reed (1944). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East of pt 2263, ESE of Chhidru, Chhidru zone, Salt Range, which is in a Changhsingian marine horizon in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
