Palaeopetia lata
Taxonomy
Sinolesta lata was named by Hong and Wang (1988). Its type specimen is 84SHL301, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is 84GT1, west Tuanwang Village, Laiyang City, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Laiyang Formation of China.
It was recombined as Palaeopetia lata by Mostovski (1995) and Grimaldi (2018).
