Taxonomy
Neochonetes permicus was named by Glushenko (1975). Its type specimen is UkrNIIGaz 1/69-3, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Makatikha, Slavyanskiy region, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Slavyanskoy Formation of Ukraine.
