Taxonomy
Rostranteris jakovlevi was named by Glushenko (1975). Its type specimen is UkrNIIGaz 1/6a-3, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vasil'evka village, Artemovskiy region, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Slavyanskoy Formation of Ukraine.
