Stelidioseris whitneyi
Taxonomy
Astrocoenia whitneyi was named by Wells (1932). Its type locality is Pleasant Valley Crossing, Blanco River, which is in an Albian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Glen Rose Limestone Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Actinastrea whitneyi by Löser and Ferry (2006); it was recombined as Stelidioseris whitneyi by Löser (2012).
