Apystomimus zaitzevi

Taxonomy
Apystomimus zaitzevi was named by Mostovski (1999). Its type specimen is PIN 2239/2219, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2239), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Apystomimus.
