Taxonomy
Terebratula (Hemiptychina) pseudoelongata was named by Schellwien (1900). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Teufelsschlucht bei Neumarktl, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Dolzanova Soteska Formation of Slovenia.
It was recombined as Hemiptychina (Beecheria) pseudoelongata by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Hemiptychina pseudoelongata by Smirnova (2001).
