Taxonomy
Jeholopsyche completa was named by Qiao et al. (2012). Its type specimen is CNU-MEC-LB2011062, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Huangbanjigou, Chaomidian Village, CNU 2011 collection, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China.
