It was corrected as Galidia concolor by Geoffroy (1839); it was recombined as Hemigalidia concolor by Mivart (1882); it was recombined as Salanoia unicolor by Allen (1939); it was recombined as Salanoia concolor by Albignac (1972).

Synonyms

Galidia olivacea was named by Geoffroy (1839). It is extant.

It was recombined as Hemigalidia olivacea by Mivart (1882); it was recombined as Salanoia olivacea by Allen (1939); it was synonymized subjectively with Salanoia concolor by Albignac (1972).
Salanoia durrelli was named by Durbin et al. (2010). It is extant. Its type specimen is BMNH 2005.209, an other (Skin, skull, and skeleton).

It was synonymized subjectively with Salanoia concolor by Veron et al. (2017).
