Taxonomy
Hapale emiliae was named by Thomas (1920). It is extant. Its type specimen is B.M. No. 20.7.14.12.

It was recombined as Mico emiliae by Rylands et al. (2000); it was recombined as Callithrix emiliae by Wilson and Reeder (2005).
