Taxonomy
Primitiopsis is a genus. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Primitiopsidae, Primitiopsacea, Primitiopsinae.

It was assigned to Primitiopsidae by Martinsson (1955); to Primitiopsinae by Benson et al. (1961); and to Palaeocopida by Sepkoski (2002).
