Taxonomy
Pleuronautilus russkiensis was named by Zakharov (1978). Its type specimen is BPI 90/801 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chernyshev Bay, Russkiy Island, which is in a Spathian marine sandstone in the Russian Federation.
