Taxonomy
Sysciophlebia alligans was named by Schneider (1982). Its type specimen is KUP 231 and is an impression. Its type locality is Bačov, Boskovice furrow, which is in an Asselian lacustrine shale in the Letovice Formation of the Czech Republic.
