Taxonomy
Neorthroblattina rotundata was named by Scudder (1885). It is an impression. Its type locality is Fairplay, which is in an Asselian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Maroon Formation of Colorado.

It was recombined as Nearoblatta rotundata by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1906) and Handlirsch (1920); it was recombined as Poroblattina rotundata by Schneider (1978), Schneider (1983) and Schneider et al. (2004).
