Taxonomy
Piarorhynchia diva was named by Dagys (1965). Its type specimen is IGiG 78/118 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Russkaya River, left tributary of Omolon Basin, which is in a Rhaetian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
