Taxonomy
Thecocyrtella orientalis was named by Ivanova (1960). Its type specimen is PIN 1/2288 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rtutnogo Creek, right bank Nezhdanka River, Tetyukhinskiy region, Primorye, which is in a Julian marine horizon in the Tetyukhinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
