Taxonomy
Pennospiriferina popovi was named by Dagys (1965). Its type specimen is IGiG 237/118 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tas-Al'byak creek, left tributary of Sineke River, upper Kolyma basin, which is in a Julian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
