Taxonomy
Opsiomylacris postelegans was named by Müller (1975). Its type specimen is SW 155/14, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Steep slope on bobsled track, below Lochbrunnen on road from Oberhof, which is in a Sakmarian lacustrine shale in the Oberhof Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Opsiomylacris (Posteriomylacris) postelegans by Müller (1975).
