Taxonomy
Blattina fascigera was named by Scudder (1878). It is an impression. Its type locality is Port Griffith railway cut, near Pittston, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial siliciclastic in the Llewellyn Formation of Pennsylvania.

It was recombined as Necymylacris fascigera by Scudder (1878) and Schneider (1983); it was recombined as Gerablattina fascigera by Scudder (1879) and Scudder (1895); it was recombined as Aphthoroblattina fascigera by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922) and Durden (1984).
