Taxonomy
Phyloblatta (Carbonoblatta) sinica was named by Hong (1980). It is an impression. Its type locality is Gancaoshan, Xiangning County, which is in a Sakmarian terrestrial shale in the Shanxi Formation of China.

It was recombined as Phyloblatta sinica by Hong (1980) and Schneider (1983).
