Taxonomy
Spiriferina pia was named by Bittner (1890). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wengen, Südtirol (Geologischen Reichsanstalt coll), which is in an Anisian carbonate limestone in Italy.
It was recombined as Dinarispira pia by Dagys (1974).
