Taxonomy
Anthracoblattina mendesi was named by Pinto and Sedor (2000). Its type specimen is MCN.P. 218 a, b, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Campáleo outcrop, BR280 Road, km 166, Mafra, which is in an Asselian coastal shale in the Campo Mourão Formation of Brazil.
