Taxonomy
Columbella recurva was named by Sowerby (1832). It is extant. Its type specimen is BMNH 1966247/1, a shell.

It was recombined as Columbella (Strombina) recurva by Tryon (1882); it was recombined as Strombina recurva by Dall (1909) and Dall and Oschner (1928); it was recombined as Strombina (Strombina) recurva by Keen (1971); it was recombined as Strombina (Recurvina) recurva by Jung (1989).
