Columbella (Strombina) nanniebellae was named by Maury (1917) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.
TYPE SPECIMEN: Lectotype used for type specimen.]. Its type specimen is PRI 28735, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Strombina nanniebellae by Ramirez (1956); it was recombined as Sincola (Sincola) nanniebellae by Jung (1989).
