Taxonomy
Althansia sahneri was named by Guthörl (1934). Its type specimen is Slg. d. Verf. 364, a wing (wing missing apex), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Friedrichstal railway cut, which is in a Westphalian terrestrial horizon in Germany.
