Taxonomy
Mongolemys tatarinovi was named by Sukhanov and Narmandakh (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Naran Bulak Quarry 1 [MPE], which is in a Paleocene alluvial fan sandstone in the Naran Bulak Formation of Mongolia.
