Taxonomy
Misellina sphaerica was named by Kobayashi (2005). Its type specimen is D2-001423, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Itsukaichi-Ome area, block 48, which is in a Kungurian/Wordian carbonate limestone in the Kamiyozawa Formation of Japan.
