Bairdiocypris was named by Kegel (1932) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-m P Dora Sepkoski's reference number: 648,1066]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Podocopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Bairdiocyprididae by Kegel (1932), Fohrer and Samankassou (2005) and Melnikova (2019).
