Taxonomy
Triticites guvenci was named by Okuyucu (2009). Its type specimen is MTA 2002/CO1-CB-16-6, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CB-16, Bademli section, which is in a Gzhelian carbonate limestone in the Gavuralani Formation of Turkey.
