Taxonomy
Courtessolea moncereti was named by Domínguez-Alonso (1999). Its type specimen is Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle, París, IPM-B 49102 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ferrals de les Montagnes, Minervois, Olonzac, which is in a Menevian carbonate shale in the Nivel E Formation of France.
