Quasifusulina guvenci was named by Okuyucu (2010). Its type specimen is 04-Kad-21-19-4, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 04-Kad-21, Kadirler Section, which is in an Asselian shallow subtidal limestone in the Cambazkaya Formation of Turkey.
