Lorenzella rotundata was named by Resser and Endo (1937). It is not extant.

It was corrected as Lorenzella parabola by Lu (1957); it was recombined as Cyclolorenzella parabola by Kobayashi (1960); it was recombined as Jiulongshania rotundata by Park et al. (2008).
