Chimnitzia parva was named by Cox (1857). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Loxonema parvum by Weller (1898); it was recombined as Zygopleura parva by Girty (1915); it was recombined as Palaeozygopleura parva by Wagner (2023).
